Hello, Readers. Jon here, and I’m making this post to announce a major shift in the podcast. We here at Living in the Stacks love reading, but trying to not only finish a new book but be ready to lead a discussion on it every two weeks has been taking its toll. Some of us haven’t been able to finish the book, some of us haven’t been able to make the recording time, and we’ve all started to feel burned out.
Therefore, for our own sake and to create a better show, we’re taking the holidays off and plan on returning in January. The next episode will start Max’s Theme Cycle Blast from the Past, where we cover historical fiction, and Melody will begin this cycle with Julie Otsuka’s When the Emperor Was Divine.
That’s not all. We’ll be switching from a biweekly schedule to a monthly schedule. We’ll release on the fifteenth of every month. As such, Melody’s episode on When the Emperor Was Divine will release on January 15th, 2019, and Max’s episode will release on February 15th, and so on and so forth.
We believe this new schedule will be more accommodating for us, and allow you Readers to finish the book so you can join in the conversation more readily. Also, feel free to share your thoughts on our previous episodes by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
From all of us here at Living in the Stacks, we wish you the happiest of holidays and we’ll see you in 2019.
